Our story and our Tuition Rates

Compassion Across Generations: One Center, Two Wings

An intergenerational center consists of a wing dedicated to the compassionate care and education of young children and another wing dedicated to the compassionate care of seniors. What makes such care intergenerational is that programming is intentionally designed to encourage the children and seniors to be together at various times during the day for activities as well as organic interactions.

As a ministry of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in downtown Grand Rapids, the Bethlehem Intergenerational Center (BIC) builds on over 50 years of providing the highest quality child care and education at our Hill Child Development Center. With the addition of the senior wing, the ministry allows us to operate as one overall center with two wings.

As a ministry, we care deeply about both accessibility and affordability involving care. We have moved to a sliding scale model of tuition for the children’s wing. Please contact our directors for further information and details regarding these rates and next steps for enrollment.
